This site is built to work with screen readers, keyboards, captions, large text and without motion. If something gets in your way, tell us and we will help.
Pending legal review
This text describes how the site works today. It is awaiting review by our counsel and may change; we will tell members about material changes.1. Our goal
Many people who served live with hearing, vision, mobility, cognitive or other disabilities, including injuries from service. We want every part of this site to work for them. We build to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, and check pages with automated tools, keyboard-only use and screen readers as we build.
2. Built in
- Simple view (in the footer) turns off video and motion and shows still images, keeping every page and link.
- Pause stops moving pictures at once. Your device's reduced-motion setting is honored too.
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus outline and a skip link.
- Large text, strong color contrast, and buttons sized for touch.
- Forms name every field, explain errors in words, and don't time out while you type.
- Get help now works without an account and without scripts.
3. Known limits
- Confirming your email from the link we send needs JavaScript in your browser. If it won't work for you, email us and we will help.
- Documents and sites we link to are run by others and may not meet the same standard.
4. Tell us, and we'll help
If anything on the site is hard to use, email hello@btubuilders.com. Tell us the page and what happened; you don't need technical words. We will reply within two business days, help you get what you need another way in the meantime, and fix the problem.
